So Basically That was the Worst Storyboard ever. Media Services was supposed to give me a really awesome D80 and they did but it was dead and didn't work, so I had to use my crappy camera in the crappy lighting that Garnet River Walk provides because I couldn't do this earlier when it was nice and bright outside due to the lack of equipment! =(
Remember back in the days of VHS? You'd go to Blockbuster on Friday night and rent a movie to go with your pizza, and on the inside of the box it would say "Be kind. Rewind." The reason it said that was because there was no way the employees at Blockbuster could possibly go through each VHS that was rented out and rewind it in preparation for the next customer.
ReplyDeleteLikewise, on Mondays mornings when every single dslr that media services possesses is returned in a two hour span, it is impossible to go through each one and charge the ones that need it before the next student wants to check it out. Yeah it sucks when you check out a camera with a dead battery, and it's happened to me more than once, but all you can do in those situations is allot plenty of time before shooting for any necessary charging and be kind to the next student by charging your battery when you're done with it. I'm sorry we ruined your storyboard.
It's okay. I mean I just didn't have a charger to charge the camera myself because I wasn't given the bag, otherwise I could've just charged it myself. I know media services has better things and lots of other things to worry about than charging each piece of equipment but it just would've been nice to not have drove all the way home (an hour away) thinking I was going to be able to work on my short film, only to find that it wasn't even charged. But it's whatevs, lesson learned I will always check to make sure everything is included and charged lol.
